Music
began for Bikai while working in the corporate world and a co-worker
was singing 'I told him to sing the song again. When he stopped singing I
just free styled the rest of the song and he loved it.' That was how
his music journey started inevitably. His earliest musical influences
include Michel Jackson, Petit Pays , Koffi Olomide. Sam Cooke, and R
Kelly , . 'I love their songs, words and how they get peoples attention
with their words.'
For
Bikai, music is all about how he feels or how the beat makes him feel
and he describes his kind of music as African with a pop vibe, hip hop,
R&B. Bikai would love to work with P-square Davido,Wizkid ,Aka
,Casper Nyovest and many more. Bikai is currently working on his
forthcoming EP. "I'm gone get you guys moving and dancing music you can
relate to' he said, a solemn promise he steady works at keeping by
turning out dope tunes in the studios.
Bikai’s
latest single “Sextacular” from his upcoming EP, (set to release in
Fall 2017) is currently making waves as the hot, new anthem of the
summer. Produced by Chris Irvin aka J. Bruster, “Sextacular” showcases
Bikai’s distinct sound and superstar appeal. From the moment you hear
the beat drop, the song leaves you feigning for more of Bikai’s smooth,
feel good croons. As a songwriter and music artist,
Bikai
is inspired by his surroundings. Much like Sextacular, most of the
songs he creates are based on situations that he or those around him
have encountered. He has also got the video of 'African lady' shot in
Cameroon set drop this summer. “People inspire me and the music I make
depends on how I feel in the moment. Afro-Pop, Hip Hop, whatever sound
captures my attention, I deliver”, says Bikai.
